ART COLLECTIVE / ALTERNATIVE ROCK / LIVERPOOL, UK
Psycho Comedy are a Liverpool-born art collective collapsing the boundaries between music, performance, spoken word and visual art.
Their sound combines volatile garage rock with post-punk tension, theatrical performance and an instinct for spectacle. Following the release of their acclaimed debut album Performance Space Number One, the collective return in 2026 with a completely new body of work and their second album on the way.

ABOUT
Psycho Comedy emerged from Liverpool with a singular approach to music and performance, building a reputation for unpredictable, theatrical and confrontational live shows.
Their debut album, Performance Space Number One, entered the UK Independent Music Charts and attracted critical acclaim, with Louder Than War describing them as “probably the most exciting band to emerge from Liverpool in a decade or more.” The record also received national airplay from Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 6 Music.
Before the pandemic interrupted the album’s momentum, Psycho Comedy toured nationally as main support to Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band, appearing at venues including London’s EartH, Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club, Manchester’s Gorilla and Edinburgh’s Summerhall.
Festival appearances have included Liverpool Sound City, Liverpool International Music Festival, Shiiine On Weekender, FestEvol and New York’s New Colossus Festival, sharing programmes with artists including Peter Hook & The Light, Kelly Lee Owens and Working Men’s Club.
In 2026, Psycho Comedy returned with a full-capacity Liverpool show and an entirely new body of work. Their second album is now being mastered — heavier, stranger and more sonically ambitious, while retaining the tension, theatricality and dark humour that defined their debut.
With a renewed live set and their second album approaching, Psycho Comedy are entering a new chapter, seeking selected UK shows, support opportunities and festival appearances.
